Do you like fantasy tales of good wizards triumphing over evil? Then this isn't your book in this book there's one good wizard and that's debatable. How about sorcerers and they're magical potions? Sorry but sorcerers are one of the inferior weir(or magical people). How about warriors? Every one loves a good story with an abundance of warriors but there is no abundance, only Jack swift.Soon maybe not even that.
Jack Swift is a mostly ordinary boy except that when he was a baby he had to have heart surgery. Even that's okay, he just takes his medicine every morning. But on the day of soccer tryouts he forgets and the principal won't let him go home to take it. He's doing fine, hasn't died of heart failure yet, but then strange things happen at the tryouts. It was almost like he had enlightened strength and senses, warrior senses. When his aunt Jill comes to town and takes Jack and his friends to " catch up on genealogy" he finds his magical sword which can do all the basics: block, thrust, slash oh and shoot fire. After escaping the attack by a wizard following the discovery of the sword they go home. When he goes home he's confused, even more so when his aunt Jill proceeds to tell him that he, their handyman/gardener and even herself are members of a magical race called the weir. The worst is yet to come though. Jacks a warrior, one of the most sought out of the weir, because the two wizard houses have them duel to the death to determine who gets the seat of power. Through the next few months he's kidnapped, betrayed, shot at with magic, learns he had an operation to make him a warrior and  learns of a twist so shocking I can't talk about it.
This is one of the best books ever and if you don't read it I'll spam you 'till you do. Okay so I wouldn't spam you but your life won't be complete 'till you read this book. To this day I can read this book over and over and not get bored. I highly recommend this book. READ IT.
